CADC WORKFORCE RETENTION FUND

This fund is for current counselors who hold an active ICB CADC credential that is in good standing and are needing assistance with their recertification fees. Retired Emeritus Status is not eligible. This program is not available to other ICB credentials at this time. This fund is available only for those with recertification dates between January 16, 2024 through June 28, 2024. Your full CEUs are required to be approved for this fund. No extension options are available. Applications for this fund must be submitted by June 20, 2024. Your work environment must be related to the substance use services field or you plan to obtain work in the substance use services field. This opportunity is available only while funds last. This fund is first come, first served.

CADC INITIAL APPLICANT FUND - Application Fee

This fund is for individuals applying for the CADC. It will cover the cost of the initial application fee, while funding lasts. This is only for those who have not yet sent in a CADC application. Please complete the CADC Initial Applicant Fund application first to see if you are eligible to receive the funding before submitting your CADC application. Please reference the Counselor Model to ensure you meet the requirements for the certification before submitting your CADC application. You will be required to submit your CADC application within 30 days of approval for this grant fund. Your work environment must be related to the substance use services field or you plan to obtain work in the substance use services field.

CADC INITIAL APPLICANT FUND - Examination Fee

This fund is for individuals who have submitted their CADC application and have been approved to take the CADC exam. It will cover the cost of the CADC exam fee, while funding lasts. You will be required to take the CADC exam within 90 days of approval for this grant fund. Your work environment must be related to the substance use services field or you plan to obtain work in the substance use services field.

CADC INITIAL APPLICANT FUND - Initial Certification Fee

This fund is for individuals who have completed the CADC application, passed the CADC exam, and have been approved for their initial certification. It will cover the cost of the CADC initial certification fee, while funding lasts. Your work environment must be related to the substance use services field or you plan to obtain work in the substance use services field. If you are approved for the CADC Initial Certification Fund, your initial certification fee will be covered and your certificate will be mailed to you within 7 - 10 business days.

CADC Workforce Entry Fund

This fund will provide $1,000.00 stipends only to individuals who have successfully completed an ICB Accredited Training Program between July 1, 2023 through June 28, 2024 and currently work in an Illinois SUPR-licensed/SUPR-funded prevention, treatment, harm reduction, or recovery organization, not in the capacity of a paid or unpaid internship. You must either have a CADC or have an active CADC application. To be eligible you must provide a letter (on official company letterhead) from human resources or your direct supervisor verifying that you are currently employed and in good standing. You must also sign an affidavit stating that you agree to continue working in an Illinois SUPR-licensed/SUPR-funded prevention, treatment, harm-reduction, or recovery organization for at least two years from the date the affidavit is signed.
