The Illinois Certification Board (ICB) has announced significant updates to the Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) credentialing process, designed to modernize testing, reduce redundancy, and simplify continuing education requirements for recovery support professionals across the state.

Important Update

Requests for credential reinstatements are now being accepted. If your credential has expired and you would like to be considered for a reinstatement, please email info@iaodapca.org with your request. The request will be reviewed by the Executive Director, and a response will come via email within 30 business days.

If your credential has been terminated, you may not present yourself as holding a credential.
